Bon Iver have officially moved their June 2020 Australian tour dates back to 2021, as a result of coronavirus travel restrictions.

The Justin Veron-led project was set to touch down here in just a few months’ time, with shows that would mark the band’s first Aussie tour since their appearance at Vivid Live in 2016.

But, in good news for Bon Iver fans, they’ll have another go at coming down under in March and April next year, kicking things off in Perth on March 24th.

They’ll then play shows in Adelaide, Melbourne and Brisbane, before wrapping up with two shows in Sydney, all in support of their latest, critically-lauded body of work, i,i.

The original tour was set to include a haunting headling set at Hobart’s Dark Mofo festival, but the Tassie music and arts festival won’t take place in 2020 over COVID-19 fears.

“So we’ll see you next year. Assuming, that is, another black swan doesn’t cause another white elephant,’ said Dark Mofo founder David Walsh.

All venues are the same for the new dates, with the exception of Adelaide where the show has copped a venue upgrade tot the Adelaide Entertainment Centre Arena.
