Bon Iver have announced their fourth record, i,i. i,i is the first new offering from the band since their 2016 record 22, A Million. The record is set for release on August 30th, but the band have given fans a taste of what to expect with lead singles ‘Faith’ and ‘Jelmore.’

The tracks feature contributions from Buddy Buddy Ross, Francis Starlite, the Brooklyn Youth Chorus with Bryce Dessner, and more. Whilst other tracks on the album are set to feature James Blake, Aaron Dessner, Bruce Hornsby, and Velvet Negroni.

A message on the bands website has revealed that  i,i will act as the Autumn closer to a cycle of albums that each represented a different season. “From the winter of For Emma, Forever Ago came the frenetic spring of Bon Iver, Bon Iver, and the unhinged summer of 22, A Million.”

“It feels very much like the most adult record, the most complete,” Justin Vernon shared.“It feels like when you get through all this life, when the sun starts to set, and what happens is you start gaining perspective. And then you can put that perspective into more honest, generous work.”
