Bring Me The Horizon have announced that they will be releasing a new song, ‘Ludens’, next month.
‘Ludens’ is set to appear on the upcoming video game soundtrack, Death Stranding. The latest brainchild from acclaimed game designer Hideo Kojima (Metal Gear).
“People have created ‘Walls’ and become accustomed to living in isolation,” a synopsis for the game reveals. “Death Stranding is a completely new type of action game, where the goal of the player is to reconnect isolated cities and a fragmented society.”
Bring Me The Horizon moving into the realms of soundtracking video games feels like a natural progression. The spectral sonic landscapes on show in their latest album, amo, feel like they were destined to accompany a gaming universe.
This isn’t the first Bring Me track to feature on a video game, just last month it was revealed that the band’s searing track ‘wonderful life’ would feature on the soundtrack to WWE 2K20.

The Death Stranding soundtrack boasts a sterling list of contributors, including a collaboration between Major Lazer & Khalid, The Neighbourhood and CHVRCHES.
The CHVRCHES contribution to the soundtrack, ‘Death Stranding’ dropped earlier today. “The concept of Death Stranding is so unique and really felt to us like it was challenging people to care about the world they create — in the game and otherwise,” the band shared in a statement. “We wrote this song specifically for Death Stranding, thinking of the themes of the game and what it is trying to say to people.” You can listen to the track, and find the Death Stranding tracklist below.
