Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul to Australia

Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul will tour Australia next year for some ‘In Conversation’ shows around the country.

The stars of the iconic TV series, Breaking Bad, will hit our shores next January, with shows confirmed in Brisbane, Perth, Melbourne, Sydney and Auckland.

Per the announcement today, “Bryan and Aaron will be on stage together to talk about how the show was made, what it gave to each, and what it took out of them. They will discuss everything Breaking Bad: the writing, the production’s long days, the mistakes, the danger, the scenes that cracked them up with laughter – and the ones that broke them up with despair.”

The AMC series ran for five seasons between 2008-2013 and is widely considered one of the best shows ever made. In fact, it placed at No. 3 on Rolling Stone‘s 100 Greatest TV Shows of All Time list.

“No series before or since has taken better advantage of the medium’s ability to track a character’s journey over a long period of time, while also crafting the kind of memorable individual instalments that distinguish TV from movies,” Rolling Stone wrote.

“Breaking Bad travels step by agonising step through Walt’s (Cranston) journey from lower-middle-class breadwinner to lord of his own crystal-meth empire, where he’s alternately helped and hurt along the way by former student Jesse Pinkman (Paul), criminal lawyer Saul Goodman (Bob Odenkirk), calculating kingpin Gus Fring (Giancarlo Esposito), and even his own victimised wife Skyler (Anna Gunn). And the series is only as thrilling and as devastating as it is because it keeps methodically showing you how Walt and the others got from there to here.”
