One of our favourite emerging bands in the country, Melbourne three-piece Cable Ties have have been slinging short, sharp bursts of punk majesty for a little while now, and, following a tour supporting Camp Cope earlier this year, it’s all about to culminate in the release of their self-titled debut LP.
Better yet, they’ve deservedly taken out this week’s Feature Album honours on triple j, giving their abrasive, politically-minded jams plenty of time to worm their way into the country’s ears ahead of the album’s release this Friday through Poison City Records, and their national tour throughout June and July.
Plenty of other goodness on the radio this week, with a new one from Amy Shark, the return of The Preatures, a new one from Hobart singer-songwriter Maddy Jane, and the debut effort from Sydney producer Love Deluxe, which also took out our Single of the Week.
