Iggy Pop and Flea feature in the trailer for Terrence Malick’s forthcoming feature film, Song to Song, which is based among the Austin music scene.
Ryan Gosling stars alongside Natalie Portman, Rooney Mara and Michael Fassbender (he is a little more RHCP, to be honest) in the film, which is a musically-themed flick that was shot at Austin City Limits in 2012.
The IndieWire blurb reads: “In this modern love story set against the Austin, Texas music scene, two entangled couples — struggling songwriters Faye (Mara) and BV (Gosling), and music mogul Cook (Fassbender) and the waitress whom he ensnares (Portman) — chase success through a rock ‘n’ roll landscape of seduction and betrayal.”
The film will also feature the likes of Florence and the Machine and Patti Smith, among its musical stars.
