People who attend Childish Gambino’s “Summertime starts here” events will have the opportunity to buy a version of his last album with an alternative title and cover. The artist also just released two new singles as a “summer pack”.

On Friday, a website popped up promoting events in Los Angeles, New York and London over the weekend. With links to Childish Gambino’s recently released “Summer Pack“, the New York event saw fans get treated to free ice cream.

Earlier today Pitchfork reported that the creative director of Childish Gambino, Ibra Ake took to Instagram to show off a new record that will only be available to fans at Lovebox Festival. A new vinyl of the 2016 album Awaken, My Love! with an alternative cover and title has been printed.

The post shows Ake going through a box of the records, each with “Operation HighJump” written on cover in a different style. “Operation Highjump” was the original name of the record, the creative director explains in the post.

“We changed the name to “awaken my love” last minute. Before that we called the album a different name and it was gonna look like this.”, the post reads. Childish Gambino is headlining Lovebox festival this weekend.

Childish Gambino recently announced a massive Australian tour as well as a headlining appearance at Spilt Milk. It was also recently revealed that Donald Glover was not being sued by his old label, but was threatening to sue them himself.

Gambino released the Summer Pack on Friday featuring two new songs; “Summertime Magic” and “Feels Like Summer“. These two tracks follow the massive comeback single “This Is America“. The follow up to Awaken, My Love! has not been announced but hopefully we might have it before his November tour.
