Melbourne’s own Children Collide have announced they will return for two very special performances in Melbourne and Sydney later this month. Following a lengthy hiatus, Johnny Mackay, Heath Crawley, and Ryan Caesar will return to run through hits like ‘Social Currency’, ‘Jellylegs’, ‘Loveless’, and many more.

Exploding onto the scene in 2008 with their D. Sardy-produced debut full-length effort, The Long Now, Children Collide quickly rose to become one of Australia’s most popular touring acts, unleashing walls of pummelling bass, screeching guitar fury, and pounding drums on crowds nationwide.

After embarking on a hiatus following the completion of their third album, Monument, in 2012, the trio put Children Collide on ice, recently reuniting following a string of enjoyable rehearsals together while the New York-based Johnny was back in town for Melbourne Music Week.

Promoters advise that at this point there’s no indication that anything further than these two one-off shows will arise, so fans looking to reacquaint themselves with one of the mightiest exponents of Melbourne’s mid-’00s rock scene need to act fast.
