More than 15 years after the tragic shooting death of Dimebag Darrell occurred there, Ohio club Alrosa Villa is up for sale for more than USD $1.2 million.

On Sunday, December 8th, we passed the 15th anniversary of the death of “Dimebag” Darrell Abbott.

Having formed metal outfit Pantera with his brother Vinnie Paul in 1981, the group split up in 2003, leading to the two musicians to form Damageplan. Sadly, this group was short-lived, with a shooting during a performance in Columbus, Ohio resulting in the death of Dimebag and four others.

A tragic moment in both heavy metal and music history as a whole, the loss of Dimebag Darrell was felt throughout the world, with countless musicians coming forward to pay tribute to the late icon, who was considered one of the finest guitarists to ever pick up the instrument.

Now, as Loudwire reports, the club which played host to the tragic murder of Dimebag is now up for sale.

According to a listing on Best Corporate Real Estate, the venue features “two bar areas, large lower level dance floor, stage, dressing room”, includes a currently-unused kitchen area, and is located on a total area of 7.2 acres.

Available for the asking price of USD $1,295,000, no mention of the tragic event that occurred there in December of 2004 is made on the listing, though under Ohio law such disclosure is not required unless it occurred within the last few years.

In related news, a five-year-old tribute to Dimebag Darrell has recently been making the rounds, with his former Pantera bandmate Phil Anselmo having honoured the guitarist by way on an article written for Rolling Stone back in 2014.

“If he were still alive, I’d damn well know him, because of our love for each other,” Anselmo explained. “He was one of my best friends on this planet, and best friends – especially those with strong personalities and integrity – butt heads sometimes. But we always found a compromise.

“I know for a fact that we would’ve made more music together. There would’ve been more Pantera tours. There would’ve been more albums.”
