Things aren’t looking so good for US vocal group Color Me Badd after founding member Bryan Abrams was jailed for assaulting one of his bandmates while performing onstage on Sunday night.

As The Blast reports, the ’90s vocal group who reunited in 2010 were performing at the Del Lago Casino in Tyre, New York when vocalist Bryan Abrams assaulted fellow band member Mark Calderon.

Following the conclusion of the group’s first song of the night, Abrams reportedly left the stage, with fans noting that he had been singing incorrect lyrics, and slurring many of the lyrics he got correct. As a result, Calderon was required to perform the majority of the performance solo, supported only by backup dancers onstage.

Video of the incident captured by a fan shows Mark Calderon performing the group’s biggest song, ‘I Wanna Sex You Up’, before Bryan Abrams comes in from the side of stage, pushing Calderon to the ground and then storming off.

Witnesses of the event have claimed that Abrams reportedly shouted “I’m motherfucking Color Me Badd!” as he shoved Calderon, leaving many to wonder just what the exact reason for the assault was.

Calderon was taken to hospital after the incident, having fallen on sound equipment and complaining of neck pain. While The Blast reports that he has since been released from hospital, suffering from whiplash, both Calderon and law enforcement indicate that alcohol appears to have been a factor in Abrams’ decision to push Calderon.

Neither Bryan Abrams or Mark Calderon have spoken to each other since the onstage incident, leaving many to wonder about the future of the band.
