Presented by Tone Deaf, Melbourne’s celebration of gritty street rocking has had the full line up released and it’s one giant rock n’ roll treat. Headlining this celebration of the dirtiest sleaziest denim and leather covered rock n’ roll on Sunday 2nd May is none other than Melbourne’s original street fighting rock n’ roll outlaws, Rose Tattoo!
The Tatts are back and ready to be led by Angry Anderson in a night of fist pumping rock n’ roll celebration. Joining them on the bill will be Dan Sultan – complete with horn section and ready to show why he’s one of Australia’s rising stars and why the girls are just completely gaga over him.
Add to this The Dacios, fronted by the inimitable Linda J and sounding like The Stooges on oestrogen, the Dave Larkin fronted Gun Street Girls and The Rock n’ Soul of The Bowers and we’ve got a pretty stonking lineup. We like to make things even sweeter at Tone Deaf, so we’ve added in the X-Rated riffage of Mammoth Mammoth, the viking metal of Barbarion, the surfabilly punk of the Fearless Vampire Killers, the Stooges meets Janes Addiction sludge rock of Shaman Son and it gets even better.
We’ve got our piping hot vat of rock n’ roll grease and we’re also whacking in the surf punk swoon of The Once Overs, a psychedelic trip from Matt Sonic & The High Times, the garage soul n’ roll of Money for Rope and fitting The Mercy Kills into the tightest rock n’ roll pants in town.
This year Cherry Rock will take place over three stages in Cherry and AC/DC Lane and with only 650 tickets available for a mere $50, they’re selling faster than a fish n’ chip shop does business on a Good Friday.
Tickets can be purchased from here.
