Melbourne Rock stalwarts The Casanovas are back with a provocative new single, entitled ‘The Most hated Man In Melbourne’. Not only is it one of the best things the band have ever released, rumours are also swirling that the song is about someone formerly involved with the band. While no-one seems to be able to say for sure, the track itself is the band at their most passionate yet and is being exclusively released on a limited edition 7” vinyl at Melbourne’s rock n’ roll ground central, The Tote, on Friday night July 8th.
The single, which was “inspired by a horrible ordeal we went through with someone who used to work for us a few years back” according to singer Tommy Boyce, was recorded with Shane O’Mara at Yikesville studio in Yarraville, featuring guest vocals from Dave Larkin (Dallas Crane) and mastered at Abbey Road, London. ‘The Most Hated Man in Melbourne’ sees the band reconvene after an extended hiatus from recording, giving fans a raucous first taste of a brand new full length album currently in the making.
