A lineup of the most influential names in music are set to join forces to celebrate the legacy of the late David Bowie as part of the charity tribute livestream, A Bowie Celebration: Just For One Day!

It’s been five years since the music world mourned the passing of The Man Who Fell to Earth, who passed away on January 10th 2016 following a battle with cancer.

Heavy-hitters from the music and entertainment industries are set to pay homage to the alien provocateur’s inimitable life on Friday, January 8th — what would have been Bowie’s 74th birthday.

Hosted by Bowie’s band member Mike Garson, the tribute event is set to raise funds for the Save The Children charity. Corey Taylor, Taylor Hawkins, Taylor Momsen, Boy George, Ricky Gervais, a supergroup led by Jane’s Addiction‘s Dave Navarro, are set to expand the already chock-a-block lineup.

Previously announced guests include the likes of Trent Reznor, Billy Corgan, YUNGBLUD, Adam Lambert, Andra Day, Michael C. Hall, Ian Hunter, Atticus Ross, Etty Lau Farrell, Mariqueen Maandig Reznor.

I’d been wondering what to do for David’s birthday. We were supposed to be out with [A Bowie Celebration Tour] in January. That’s not possible for now,” explained Garson in a statement. “So I spoke with many friends who love David: alumni from throughout his career as well as great singers connected to him in special ways.”

What we’re planning is an amazing show with the most talented musicians from every period of David’s career, as well as phenomenal artists from many different genres,” Mike continued. We’ll hear different interpretations of David’s songs; some with totally new arrangements that have never been heard before.”
