What were your food influences when you were growing up and what kind of food did you eat at home or with your family?

Food was always pretty important as it was the only time that no matter what unresolved social infractions were still lingering within the house, everyone made an effort to abide by the rules of a stereotypical family. Both parents loved cooking and food ranged from bangers and mash type dishes to some of my mother’s delicious but experimental Armenian influenced dishes. Dad was awesome at curries.

What dish or cuisine do you most like to eat on tour and why?

A Stolen baguette of some description because it tastes like you didn’t pay £5.50 for it at a road side rest stop. Super market deli counter, sausages and bread from Asda or Morrisons also work.

What type of food do you hate, and what is the most disgusting thing you’ve ever eaten?

I generally hate Lobster and Crab or anything else that would look scary as fuck should it’s mass be increased 10 fold.

What type of food do you make sure to avoid before a gig or going on stage?

Anything from a Weatherspoons pub – any-all-you-can eat Chinese buffet or anything that is going to make you burp.

Imagine for a second you can request anything on your rider at a gig. What food do you put on it?

Stuffed peppers with rice and mince meat, hot chicken and the apparatus to make wraps, those salads with the egg and tuna and a jar of LIDLS pickled Gherkins.

What has been your biggest cooking disaster to date?

Any fried egg. Cant do it. Always burst the yoke one way or another.

When you tour overseas, what food from home do you miss the most?

None! On my own I eat very simply and in a very repetitive manner so I can keep track of what parts of which food groups I am up to date on. Also i’m Diabetic so try my best to eat low carb shit. Because of this when on tour it is an opportunity not to have tuna salad five nights a week.

This is your last day on earth, what is your final meal?

Frankfurters cut up and put in plain Lentil soup – but lots of it!
