Whether you’re feeling all loved up on Valentines Day… or you’re completely alone…
No music helps you get in touch will all ‘those feels’ like country music.
Artists like Tim McGraw and Faith Hill, Garth Brooks and Lady Antebellum have recorded some of the most celebrated love songs of all time.
So here are some of the songs we are listening to this Valentines Day.
1. TIM McGRAW & FAITH HILL – ‘IT’S YOUR LOVE’
Of all the love songs Tim McGraw and Faith Hill (pictured above) have recorded together, this one is probably their best! Many a loved up couple have walked down the aisle on their wedding day to this one.
2. LUKE COMBS – ‘BEAUTIFUL CRAZY’
“Give the people what they want. Give them the song they want,” says Combs at the start of the song’s music video.
And they’ve wanted Comb’s dedication to his fiancé Nicole Hocking ever since. This was a seven-week #1 on the US country airplay charts and a GOLD single in Australia.
3. LADY ANTEBELLUM – ‘NEED YOU NOW’
Perhaps this song is more about a proposed booty call as opposed to an expression of true love. It’s a mega hit never the less.
4. GARTH BROOKS – ‘THE DANCE’
So stunning and reflective. Decades on, this gem from the great Garth Brooks still holds its own.
5. KEITH URBAN – ‘MAKING MEMORIES OF US’
And perhaps if playing this song gets you in the mood, ‘You Look Good In My Shirt’ is a good follow-up the next morning.
6. JASMINE RAE – ‘WHEN I FOUND YOU’
Originally written for her best friend’s wedding, Jasmine Rae says this song is “for everyone who is in love, has been in love, or just wants to feel the love!”
7. MORGAN EVANS – ‘DANCE WITH ME’ FEATURING KELSEA BALLERINI
If you haven’t fallen in love with Morgan Evans and Kelsea… you probably will after hearing this.
8. ADAM ECKERSLEY BAND – ‘GIVE HER THE WORLD’
Isn’t that ultimately what we all really want?
9. GEORGE STRAIT – ‘I CROSS MY HEART’
Not only is this the most stunning of love songs, it’s also one of the best songs from the amazing Pure Country Soundtrack.
10. RONNIE DUNN – ‘I DON’T DANCE’
“I don’t dance with anybody but you.”
The best song from Ronnie’s debut solo album. Many a man with “two left feet” can relate to this one.
11. RANDY HOUSER – ‘GOODNIGHT KISS’
Not only this a great song, but Randy Houser also dedicates all his love songs to his Australian wife.
12. MAREN MORRIS – ‘THE FEELS’
Cheeky, sassy and fun. And possibly the catchiest love song on this list.
