Dolly Parton has taken to social media today to speak about the passing of her great friend, Kenny Rogers.
“I loved Kenny with all my heart”, said Parton in the short Instagram video.
“And my heart is broken,” she continued.
“And a big old chuck of it has gone with him today.”
“I think I can speak for all this friends and family and fans when I say, I will always love you.”

Parton and Rogers famously released the mutli-decade mega-hit ‘Islands In The Stream.’ in August 1983.
It was a #1 hit in the USA and Australia as well as Canada and Austria.

Thirty years later, they reunited to record the song ‘You Can’t Make Old Friends.’
“When I see him [Rogers] I just smile,” says Parton in the music video.
“Out of everyone in the business, she [Parton] is my best friend,” says Rogers.
