Canadian singer-songwriter Tenille Townes, who performed at CMC Rocks QLD in 2019, released her debut full studio EP on Friday.
The six-song bundle is titled Road To The Lemonade Stand.
It’s a preview of what’s the come on her debut album, The Lemonade Stand, which will be released in “the coming months.”
The new EP produced by Jay Joyce, features five songs written by Townes, including her current single, ‘Jersey On The Wall (I’m Just Asking),’ as well as a rendition of ‘Stupid Boy,’ originally recorded by Keith Urban and written by Sarah Buxton, Dave Berg and Deanna Bryant.
Urban’s version was released on his 2006 album, Love, Pain & The Whole Crazy Thing.
It was the album’s second single and it peaked at #3 on the US Billboard Hot Country Songs chart.
A year after its release, Urban won a Grammy Award for Best Male Country Vocal Performance of the song.
Buxton also recorded her own compelling own version of the song.
Along with the studio version, which appears on the EP, Townes also released a stunning acoustic version of ‘Stupid Boy’ on Youtube this morning.
