Courtney Barnett has nabbed pretty much every musician in the country and a few from other countries for her latest music video. The clip for ‘Elevator Operator’ sees Barnett going through some ups and downs as she interacts with a string of notable musos.

You can check below for a full list of the musicians who appear in the clip, which was shot in locations around Melbourne and prominently features our iconic Flinders Street Station as well as the much-loved but frankly creepy Nicholas Building.

Some of the cameos include US favourites Sleater-Kinney and Tweedy, as well as our very own Magda Szubanski, Paul Kelly, Tim Rogers of You Am I, The Drones, Michael Leunig, Camp Cope, as well as Barnett’s label-mates like Fraser A. Gorman and Jen Cloher.

The clip was directed by Sunny Leunig, son of legendary cartoonist Michael, and has the same sly yet absurdist sense of humour we’ve come to expect from Barnett’s songs. You can check out the full epic in the embed below.
