The World Health Organization (WHO) is holding a special one-off live COVID-19 television event featuring Billie Joe Armstrong of Green Day, plus Eddie Vedder, Paul McCartney, Elton John, Billie Eilish, and many more globally renowned acts.
Titled ‘One World: Together At Home’, the Lady Gaga-curated event will air in Australia, with Mediaweek confirming the event will be viewable on Network 10 thanks to its owner CBS, as part of a global broadcast.
The broadcast will be hosted by Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmell, and Stephen Colbert, and is set to feature a huge list of musicians including Alanis Morissette, Andrea Bocelli, Burna Boy, Chris Martin, FINNEAS, J Balvin, John Legend, Kacey Musgraves, Keith Urban, Lizzo, and Stevie Wonder.
The gig will air at 10am on Sunday, April 19th (AEDT), and brings together not only musicians, but also actors and others from the global entertainment business to celebrate the effort of healthcare workers during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Lady Gaga originally announced the gig a few days ago, before the lineup had been revealed.
