Cut Copy are set to release the first official single from their forthcoming album Zonoscope. Entitled ‘Take Me Over’ the band’s Tim Hoey describes the songs as [Primal Scream’s]  ‘Screamadelica’ meets ‘Speaking in Tongues’. [We’re not sure if he’s referring to Justin Bieber or Eagles of Death Metal here]. The band spent Thursday in Sydney filming the video for the single with acclaimed director Kris Moyes, and have posted a picture of them from the set. It’s a trifle disturbing, with a Crocodile Dundee meets Indiana Jones via Alby Mangels vibe – the video should be a hoot. Zonoscope comes out on Modular on 4th February, while the band will be headlining the Laneway Festival around Australia at the same time.
