Dashboard Confessional frontman Chris Carrabba is in the hospital following severe injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.

Taking to Instagram, Dashboard Confessional noted that they had “an important message from Chris” alongside a photograph of him sleeping in a hospital bed.

The following photos shared indicated that frontman Chris Carrabba of the U.S. emo collective had been in a motorcycle accident on Saturday, June 6th.

“Hi friends,” he began. “On June 6th, I was in a motorcycle accident,” he revealed to Dashboard Confessional’s 101k followers.

“My injuries were severe but not life threatening,” he stated, yet didn’t go into further detail about the injuries he sustained, nor any further mention of how the accident occurred.

“I owe the amazing doctors, nurses and medical team treating me my endless gratitude. I am determined to make a full recovery, but I have surgeries and months of rehab to come,” he stated.

Although he’s in the hospital with these unknown severe injuries, Carrabba took a moment to chat through the current issues that are going on throughout the world.

At this time, there are no further details to the injuries sustained by Carrabba, any details as to what occurred in the motorcycle accident nor what process he will have to go to in order to recover.
