Dita Von Teese recently shut down anyone who may have thought that she was a victim of the sexual assault allegations against Marilyn Manson. But in some recently surfaced old interviews, Von Teese actually discussed abuse claims on a couple of occasions.
In relation to the current allegations against Manson, last week Von Teese took to social media to clarify her stance.
Von Teese shared, “I have been processing the news that broke Monday regarding Marilyn Manson. To those who have expressed your concerns for my well-being, I appreciate your kindness.”
“Please know that the details made public do not match my personal experience during our 7 years together as a couple. Had they, I would not have married him in December 2005. I left 12 months later due to infidelity and drug use,” she continued. “Abuse of any kind has no place in any relationship. I urge those of you who have incurred abuse to take steps to heal and the strength to fully realize yourself.
“This is my sole statement on the matter. Thank you for respecting this request.”
Von Teese’s statement on Manson’s abuse allegations have brought renewed light on two different interviews back in 2007 and 2010 where she discussed her own experience with abuse.

In 2007, Von Teese sat down for an interview with The Irish Independent, not too long after she and Manson had divorced in 2006.
As per The Irish Independent, they report that a week before Dita had left and began looking for a new home when she heard “some revelations”.
Von Teese continues, “I thought: ‘Wow, I’ve got to get out of here.’ Women’s intuition is a real thing. Then suddenly you have to see the facts. Then I decided and thought: ‘Well, you know, I had taken a lot of abuse. It hasn’t always been easy but this time I am asking myself how much more am I going to take?’”
And that interview wasn’t the last time that Von Teese had revealed some very sensitive information about her private life.
In 2010, Von Teese was describing her current relationship at the time with Count Louis-Marie de Castelbajac in Genlux Magazine.
Von Teese told Genlux, “He took me to his family’s castle and I was completely wooed and couldn’t speak for days. He thought there was something wrong with me because I was so in shock that someone could treat me so well. I was used to people hurling things at me in the middle of the night in a cocaine rage. So to be in this castle and have this man cooking for me… I was stunned into silence.”
Von Teese has not spoken again on the allegations against Manson since the statement she issued one week ago.
