2019 may just be the best year in Like A Version history. Today, triple j unleashed their latest live offering, a performance from Florida hook-meister Dominic Fike.
Fike wrapped up his debut Australian tour earlier this month and found time to pop into the j’s studio to treat us all to a gorgeous performance. Fike’s appearance is a showcase of the era of Gen Z pop trailblazers.
The musician cracked off a stunning rendition his latest single, the Kenny Beats-produced ‘Phone Numbers.’ Which you can check out below.

He also offered a grungy cover of Clairo track ‘Bags’. The impossibly tight performance saw Fike rock a luscious hazelnut wig to completely channel Clairo’s energy. It’s a whole lot of fun, and another addition to what feels like the year of perfect Like A Version performances. Check it out below.

Earlier this week, Fike dropped the music video for ‘Phone Numbers’. The clip saw him undertake the role of a dastardly criminal, committing a bunch of naughty deeds — including robbing the home of Halsey, who appears in the film.
Halsey will be making her way down under next month to perform at the 2019 Aria Awards.
