Another day, another tour cancellation. Grandiose UK indie pop act Doves has cancelled their Australian headline tour and Playground Weekender Festival dates next month, due to ‘’a personal matter within the band.’’ The trio, who formed from the ashes of 90s dance act Sub-Sub, were due to being touring their Doves -The Best Of: The Places In Between album in Brisbane on 15th February.
“We regret to announce that due to circumstances beyond our control we have been forced to cancel our forthcoming tour of Australia.
This is a decision we have not taken lightly and our sincere apologies go out to anyone who has bought tickets for the shows and for any inconvenience caused.
Refunds will be available for the Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney & Perth dates from point of purchase.”
Playground Weekender is expected to make an announcement of a replacement act shortly.
