A lineup of the worlds biggest and brightest musicians will be joining forces to deliver a cover of Foo Fighters hopeful anthem ‘Times Like These’. Amongst the ranks are Dua Lipa, Coldplay’s Chris Martin, 5 Seconds of Summer, Biffy Clyro, Sam Fender, Ellie Goulding, Royal Blood, Sigrid and more.

The cover will raise funds for BBC’s Children in Need and Comic Relief. Profits made from international listeners will go to the World Health Organization’s Covid-19 Solidarity Response Fund.

The cover was recorded from the homes of the musicians in isolation and was produced by Fraser T Smith — who has worked with artists such as Adele, Stormzy and Dave.

“Our vision was to create a stay at home version using phones, pots, pans and acoustic guitars that would honour the brilliance and honesty of the artists and song, rather than the trickery of an expensive recording studio,” Smith shared in a statement. “We tried to make this single in a totally different way artistically, relevant to today. The lyrics particularly resonate with us all at this challenging time.”

Honestly, we could have never envisioned a world where we’d witness Dua Lipa take on a Foo Fighters classic but here we are and we are so thankful. Check out a snippet of the track below.

The coronavirus crisis has seen heartwarming solidarity within the music realm. Earlier this week, the Lady Gaga curated spectacle One World: Together at Home raised $127 million for coronavirus relief.
