DZ Deathrays have been keeping real busy as of late. They’ve got a tour with Violent Soho and Dune Rats just around the corner and yet somehow they’ve found time to indulge their ardent passion for the grog.

The multi-ARIA Award winning Brisbane duo have just announced the launch of their new ‘Pils n Thrills’ pilsner, made in association with Young Henrys, which will debut at the Blurst of Times Festival this weekend.

“Tried home brewing, tasted like piss… tried buying beer at the pub, too expensive… brewed 86 kegs of ‘Pils n Thrills’ with Young Henrys to have beer on tap, so to speak, and we might actually pull this one off!” said vocalist Shane Parsons.

According to Young Henrys co-founder Oscar McMahon, DZ’s limited release Czech pilsner is “a stripped back classic, compact malt bill with a surprisingly hoppy palm to the nose” that’s been brewed to be enjoyed “fast, fun and loud”.

The Brissy pair will be pouring their ‘Pils n Thrills’ brew between 5 and 6pm this Saturday, 16th April at the Blurst of Times Festival’s beer garden. Check below for the full lineup and all ticketing details.
