Emma Swift is set to commemorate the 80th birthday of The Bard Bob Dylan with a series of special live shows, performing songs off her Dylan tribute album Blonde on the Tracks.

Swift has enlisted the help of Darren Middleton of Powderfinger on guitar, Marty Brown of the Clare Bowditch Band on drums, Mark Wilson and Louis Macklin of JET on bass and keys respectively, and Kathleen Halloran of the Kate Ceberano band on guitar to tear through a number of Dylan’s most beloved tracks and rare gems.

The group is set to kick things off at Palais Theatre in Melbourne on Thursday, June 17th before heading to Anita’s Theatre in Wollongong on Saturday, June 19th, City Recital Hall in Sydney on Sunday, June 20th, Astor Theatre in Perth on Tuesday, June 22nd and finally Fortitude Music Hall in Brisbane on Thursday, June 24th.

“I am so, so thrilled to be returning to Australia to play songs from the ‘Blonde on the Tracks’ album live this year.This will be the first-ever full band performance of these songs in a live setting, and I can’t wait to bring the album to life on stage,” Emma shared in a statement.

“The album has had an enormous amount of love and I can’t wait to come home and sing these songs, as well asa selection of classics and fun rarities from Dylan’s magnificent canon.”
