Sydney based peddlers of melodic punk Endless Heights have swooped in with a new single full to the brim with existential yearning we’ve come to expect from the band. ‘Cold Hard Kiss’ is another woozy yet punchy cut from the 5-piece who will have you feeling, thinking and grooving in equal parts.

‘Cold Hard Kiss’ deals with the uncertainties in love and life, featuring dear diary-esque vocals resulting in an open and honest listening experience. The wall of sound beneath the lyrics is impervious and relentless yet smooth and polished. There’s a drone within the tracks DNA that’s nothing short of hypnotic; an atmosphere the band has developed a wicked habit of creating in their music.

Speaking of the track, vocalist Joely-Boy Martorana explained, “Cold Hard Kiss is about allowing your thoughts and feelings to come to the surface, even when they stand at odds with each other. The song came from a season in my life where I was crazy in love, yet completely lost and emotionally numb. It’s about confronting the guilt of failing those you love most in the pursuit of finding what you truly want in life.”

‘Cold Hard Kiss’ is the first such offering from the group since they dropped their sophomore album Vicious Pleasures last year. The album would go on to win over hearts and minds all over the world with a style rarely seen in DIY punk groups.

Never ones to merely talk the talk, Endless Heights will also be walking the walk with a run of headline dates in support of the new jam kicking off in October.
