Australian singer-songwriter Kav Temperley, best known for fronting chart-topping Fremantle rockers Eskimo Joe, has announced the release of his eagerly anticipated debut solo record. Entitled Hope Street, the EP is out 9th September.

“This is as honest as I get,” said Temperley in a statement. “It’s terrifying! But it’s also liberating. There was no censoring – no towing a particular line. I suppose you could say Hope St is me burying my 20s and elegantly dancing into my late 30s. It’s about finding a new way.”

According to Temperley, Hope Street is not just an EP, but a song cycle. “They all form a complete narrative,” he said. “They take us full cycle. I wanted to present these songs in a unique format, in a different paradigm – it was an artistic challenge.”

Temperley will celebrate the release of his debut solo EP with a national tour which will take him from Fremantle through to Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney, Canberra, and Perth, with regional stops along the way. Check below for all the details.
