Multi-instrumentalist Ezra Vine is obsessed with escapism, indulging his melodic fantasies among handclaps, and the waltz of bass drums. His debut single ‘Celeste’, is an infectious ear-worm with Beach Boys backing vocals, Miike Snow piano clusters, and a lilting, Shins-like vocal. Vine’s love for ambiguous Cohen-style lyrics mashes with immediate imagery.

In Vine’s own words, Celeste is ‘an exploration of optimism, confusion, and the often blurred lines between reality and desire.’

The music video for ‘Celeste’ was created by London based animator Rob Wallace (animations for Flying Lotus, Jonothan Boulet, The Naked and Famous) and is a story featuring a huntsman on a long and ambiguous journey, set among a majestic and wild landscape.

‘Celeste’ is set for release in Australia on 6th September on Vine’s own label Mythologie and keep an eye out for an EP towards the end of 2013.
