With New Year’s eve just weeks away, punters heading to Falls Festival this New Year’s holiday are no doubt counting the sleeps, but they’ve unfortunately been struck with some bad news. One of the biggest draws on the Falls 2016 lineup, Grouplove, have been forced to cancel.
“It breaks my hear to let you know that due to strict doctor’s order, I have to be on complete vocal rest for the next 4-6 weeks,” vocalist and keyboardist Hannah Hooper writes in a statement. “I’ve been doing everything my power to get out there and do these shows with you guys, but right now this is completely out of my control.”
“It is with a heavy heart that we announce GROUPLOVE will not be able to attend Falls Festival this year due to medical reasons. In the meantime, we are working towards a replacement which will be announced very shortly. We wish Hannah all the best and a speedy recovery,” a statement from Falls read.
