Father John Misty Launches His Own Fragrance
Move over, Britney, Christina, Beyonce and co. there’s a new perfumer in town. It seems the scent of rock n roll might finally be getting its time to shine. Hilariously called ‘Innocence by Misty’, Father John’s attempt at breaking into the perfume market might seem like a novel idea, but as Alan Cross points out “If it were true indie rock perfume, it would smell like beer and cigarettes with notes of poverty, desperation and the back of a Ford Transit van that’s been on the road for nine weeks carrying five guys who eat nothing but corndogs.”
The Fan-Built Kanye West Videogame
Imagine a world where Kanye rules the masses with his minions of fellow rappers. No, we’re not talking about the land inside West’s head, we’re talking about a new, slightly creepy videogame. The synopsis reads “Taking the garbage out one day, Kanye suddenly travels through a wormhole. Emerging on the other side, Kanye finds himself in the year 3030. In a dystopian city filled with clones of hip-hop musicians and under the control of a god-like dictator, can Kanye get back home?” We’re not quite sure what’s more ridiculous, that people will want to play this or that the game’s makers think Kanye would ever take out the trash.
Human Powered Dancefloor
Remember hat scene in Big where Tom Hanks gets his groove on the giant piano? Well, the folks at Energy Floors decided it wasn’t fair that kids should have all the fun and have invented an interactive dancefloor. As BizBash reports, “The eight-inch-deep tiles each house small generators; the tiles compress when stepped on, activating the generators to convert the kinetic energy produced by the dancers into electricity.” The great news is you can rent these scientific d-floors for your next party. Check out the video to see how it all works.

The recorded project is called ‘Tower Music’, and the composer has also stated his intention of “playing” the Eiffel Tower live.
