Fiona Apple has finally unveiled the release date for her first album in eight years. Fetch the Bolt Cutters will arrive on April 17th. The album was announced via a video shared on the Fiona Apple Rocks Tumblr page.

“No fooling. Fetch the Bolt Cutters,” the caption read. You can watch the video below.

Fetch the Bolt Cutters marks the first full-length release since 2012’s brilliant The Idler Wheel… Last year saw Apple feature on Phoebe Bridgers and Matt Berninger’s collaborative track ‘7 O’Clock News/Silent Night’. Apple also re-released her When The Pawn… track ‘I Know’ with King Princess.

There’s never been a more crucial time for a Fiona Apple album. I have never been more prepared to swan around my self-isolation hovel, wallowing and crying and then feeling reborn.
