Oooh, naughty bands and their habit of announcing gigs they’re playing at festivals before the festival line up is announced. Bar room blues troubadours The Hold Steady have announced they’ll be bringing their widescreen Americana to Meredith’s autumn festival, Golden Plains on March 12th, while seminal Brazilian psychedelic rock band Os Mutantes, who spearheaded the Tropicália movement of the 1960s, have also announced they’re playing. Add in rumours about Joanna Newsome and Best Coast and this looks like a pretty interesting line up.
