You can tell we’re getting closer to the end of the year now, with Golden Plains announcing the phenomenal list of artists that will grace their stages in 2020.

You might still be recovering from the massive announcement that was the Meredith Music Festival lineup a couple of months back, but as 2019 draws closer to its end, organisers have now revealed what we’ll be grooving to next year, dropping the 2020 Golden Plains lineup overnight.

While this year’s festival seemed hard to beat, what with the likes of Happy Mondays, The Jesus & Mary Chain, and Liz Phair on offer, the folks behind Golden Plains have proven their worth as some of the greatest festival curators out there, delivering a stunning 2020 bill.

Kicking things off for next year is none other than alt-rock icons the Pixies, who will be starting their Aussie tour with a stop off at the Meredith Supernatural Amphitheatre. Following closely behind though is Hot Chip, whose latest album, A Bath Full Of Ecstasy, served as one of their strongest releases to date.

Meanwhile, after a ten-year hiatus (and ten-year absence from our shores), newly-reformed “avant-pop” outfit Stereolab will be finding their way to the festival.

It doesn’t end there though, with the addition of local legends like Sampa The Great, Joe Camilleri and the Black Sorrows, and Electric Fields, while Sleaford Mods make their Aussie debut, Bill Callahan makes a long-awaited return, and Weyes Blood bring their stunning sounds to the Golden Plains stage.

If you’re keen to head along to next year’s festivities, be sure to head along to the Golden Plains website and enter the ticket ballot now. Check out the full lineup below.
