If you’re heading to the inaugural Good Things Festival this December, you might want to pay attention, with the Melbourne leg of the fest upgrading its venue today.

Just last month, Good Things stunned all of us by dropping an absolutely stellar lineup for its debut year. With the likes of The Offspring, Stone Sour, Bullet For My Valentine, BABYMETAL, Mayday Parade, and The Smith Street Band, it was clear that this was going to be a pretty popular event.

Now, it seems that the festival has been so popular that organisers have made the decision to upgrade the venue for the Melbourne leg of the festival.

Originally taking place on December 7th at the Melbourne Showgrounds, organisers have now announced the festival is set to kick off on the same date, just over at Flemington Racecourse instead.

“It was apparent the first day we went on sale that tickets for the Melbourne show were flying out the gate,” explained Good Things Festival promoter, Chris O’Brien. “With so many bucket list moments on the Festival we simply had to make the decision to move to a larger venue to accommodate everyone.”

“The Offspring will never perform Smash plus a greatest hits set again in Australia so to not allow fans that opportunity along with getting to witness BABYMETAL’s incredible live show with full production for the first time was simply not an option.”

With the venue upgraded, that means there’s more tickets up for grabs, and therefore more chances for keen punters to witness some of the biggest bands in the world deliver some absolutely stunning sets.

Original tickets are still valid for the new location, so if you’ve already bought a ticket, you’ve nothing to worry about. If you’re yet to buy a ticket, they’re still on sale from Oztix, but be quick to ensure you don’t miss out on this once-in-a-lifetime lineup!
