Gordi has been the name on lips all over the country for a while now. She unveiled her debut EP, Clever Disguise, last month after signing to famed US record label Jagjaguwar and now she’s celebrating with an East Coast tour.
As triple j reports, Gordi has somehow found time in her busy schedule, which is increasingly being crowded with overseas demands, to make her way home for a string of shows this August in Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane.
To celebrate the announcement, Gordi has released her new music video for ‘Wanting’. “‘Wanting’ is about wanting more from yourself,” said Gordi. “The song deals with the disappointment of constantly ending up at the same place, despite feeling like you should have come so much further.”
“The film clip echoes this idea in that a young girl is looking at what she hopes is not her own reflection, because though it’s years in the future, she’s in exactly the same place once again.” Check out the tour dates below.
