Nick Cave’s filthy rock n’ roll blues outfit Grinderman are gearing up for the release of the band’s second album. Warracknabeal’s favourite son appears to have left his literary muse resting as the new long player has been given the imaginative title of Grinderman 2. Featuring a disturbing cover that could be an image out of Matthew Barney’s Cremaster Cycle, the album which is out on September 13th in the UK on Mute is being preceded by the single ‘Heathen Child’. Film director John Hillcoat, who collaborated with Cave on the Australian western drama The Proposition, has filmed two bizarre promo videos for the forthcoming release. Check them out below:
