The metal singer was full of praise for the climate activist, comparing her to other influential women throghout history who have stood up in times of need

Greta Thunberg has been earning both international plaudits and loads of hatred from keyboard warriors after her latest speech on climate change, delivered to the UN.

The activist has earned herself praise from the likes of Billie Eilish, Chris Hemmsworth and more, with metal icon Lzzy Hale from Halestorm adding her own endorsement into the mix.

“Our modern day Joan of Arc” she said in a social media post, referencing the famous French Saint who also stared down abuse and hatred for the greater good.

“Thank you for your candor, grace, logic and beautiful anger. Wield your sword. You are sitting at a round table of young women who have inspired and shaped humanity.” Check out the full post below.

Hale went on to note the achievements of other influential women, including Anne Frank, Malala Yousafzai, Claudette Colvin and author Mary Shelley.
