Groovin the Moo 2019 is just around the corner, and by now you should be well prepared for a day of non-stop musical excellence, banging dance-offs and hanging with your pals. As one of the country’s most iconic festivals, it’s garnered a rep for delivering a lineup that features some of the world’s most stellar live acts.

This year, punters will be treated to the likes of pop-superstar Billie Eilish, emo-turned-alt-rockers Trophy Eyes, hip hop luminary A$AP Twelvyy and more.

Aside from established legends, Groovin the Moo are doing their part in introducing you to the headliners of tomorrow, with their curated Fresh Produce lineup for each date delivering some of the best up and comers in the game.

They’ve added a further 110 local artists, including some of the country’s most innovative electronic, hip hop and indie artists on offer.

Last year the Fresh Produce lineup included Dear Seattle, Haiku Hands, Kwame and Lime Cordiale – artists who have all gone on to take the Australian music scene by storm this year.

To get you familiar with the lineup, here’s a brief rundown of the Fresh Produce available at Groovin this year.

Electronic

Australia has cemented its status as one of the world’s forerunners in electronic music excellence in recent years. Whilst Flume and What So Not are off conquering the world, homegrown heroes like CLYPSO, Flash 89, Feels and UV Boi are all offering up their own unique takes on beats, synths and grooves.

CLYPSO delivers an ultra-summery, jaunty take on house that’ll have you partying till you drop, whilst UV Boi has made serious waves with his heavy-hitting 808 beats in the last 2 years.

Indie

With ethereal guitar licks at the helm, ultra-cool vocal melodies and catchy choruses that’ll have you boogying till the cows come home, the Fresh Produce lineup Unearthed comp winners Pinkish Blu will be delivering their fresh take on dream pop, fresh off the hype of singles like ‘Capricorn’ and ‘Lovely’.

Teen-group and recent Future Classic signees Erthlings are slinging some of the brightest guitar-driven indie pop around and Vacations are reigning in a next-gen of Aussie bands.

Hip Hop

Although Australian hip hop hasn’t received the most positive wrap historically, a new school of epic artists are giving it a fresh face and identity. Whilst heavy hitting RnB/Hip Hop star Carmouflage Rose was featured on the initial lineup, the Fresh Produce announcement offers up a slew of new-school Aussie hip hop stars.

Sophiegrophy serves cutting lyricism, trap-inspired beats and a flow that’s undeniably attitude drenched. The neo-funk inspired Tasman Keith will also deliver his message-driven bars to the Groovin stage as well.
