Tesla CEO Elon Musk even gets a mention among the number of the Hoods’ concerns surrounding the increasing importance of a company’s bottom line over the wellbeing of their employees.

The release is accompanied by a music video, directed by Roman Anastasios & Jordan Blanch of OUTRO, which features the trio don Men in Black-esque personas cracking down on happy office workers.

“We wrote ‘Don’t Happy, Be Worry’ because everyone seems a little worked up. We thought that we’d lighten the mood a little” said rapper and producer Suffa.

The rap group had teased the release of “Don’t Happy, Be Worry” with a dedicated website for their new project filled with tongue-and-cheek references to the corporate world.

“As workers become more at ease, more content, productivity falls, the bottom line suffers. That’s where we come in. Here at Hilltop Industries, we specialize in crushing the spirit, demoralizing the staff,” the website reads.

“Our elite team are well trained and always at the ready to remind your staff about the fragility of their vocation, hell, the fragility of life. Our slogan? ‘Don’t happy, be worry’.”

It’s the second taste of the trio’s ninth studio album  – their last album, The Great Expanse, came out back in 2019 – after dropping “The Gift”, featuring MARLON, in February.

Hilltop Hoods’ “Don’t Happy, Be Worry” is out now.
