Take us through the limited edition booklet that you’re providing with the LP.
Well, the Vinyls weren’t in our possession ’til two months after the launch /tour of our mini LP. Our good friend Andrew Bibby is an excellent photographer and came with us on the tour to Sydney,Newcastle, Canberra, Geelong , Ballarat and Melbourne and took a heap of photos. Him and his girlfriend Georgia Mae wanted to put together a booklet of photos from the tour I thought it would be a good Idea to make it up to our friends, family and fans who pre-ordered the vinyl by giving them a free booklet as well as our way of apologising for the two month delay.
How important are events such as Fifth Floor for Melbourne’s psych/garage scene?
Very important It’s hard to believe an event that solid is run completely independently-its putting some great local acts in the social media spotlight and for giving them the chance to playing live in front of a pretty large-scale and enthusiastic audience for their genre.
Would you like to see more monthly large events like Fifth Floor?
Definitely, would grow into something phenomenal!
For a bit of fun, if you could curate your own Fifth Floor party, what three bands would you have playing?
The Murlocs,The Preatures, Atolls, Ascetic, Amanita,Lowtide,Contrast,Warmth Crashes in and Sleep Decade – I know that’s more than three but c’mon.
The band has played alongside some pretty rad acts, has there been a particular highlight?
Definitely The Preatures was a favourite we got to support them 3 nights in a row at Northcote Social Club they were really friendly, not to mention really awesome live!
What about other local talent, who is another band we should keep our eyes out for?
You should keep an eye out for Sleep Decade an incredibly dynamic trio from Geelong, Amanita, Atolls and Conrast are really good too
Is there any track the band loves to perform over any other?
We love to play new material whenever we get the chance.
Is there a venue around Melbourne you guys prefer to perform at, like a homebase?
Northcote Social Club is always a great pleasure to play, Toff, Corner hotel – we live about 45 minutes away from any good venues so we have never really had a homebase.
What does 2014 have in store for the band?
We are putting the finishing touches on our new EP at the moment it should be finished by around January 2014 we plan on playing live as much as possible next year and start playing more of our new material.
