Following on from the recent announcement that Chugg Entertainment would be partnering up with IMC and Village Sounds, the promoters for the heroic homegrown music festival that is Homebake, making them co-promoters for the annual music festival – Homebake have just announced the set times for their epic lineup of arts, music, and comedy.
Heralding the big announcement of Homebake Music, Film & Arts Festival 2012 carrying the ‘Global Edition’ theme are New Wave icons Blondie headlining a lineup of Australia and New Zealand’s finest including Hilltop Hoods, Kimbra, Birds of Tokyo, Something For Kate, Tame Impala, and many more.
With the new batch of Australian acts rounding out the lineup, along with a riveting selection of cinematic treats at the HOMEBAKE Cinema Pavilion and monstrous giggles at the Comedy Stage; it’s looking to be one of the festival’s biggest and most comprehensive lineups in its 17 year history.
Which of course means there are going to be clashes. Planning on catching Kimbra before heading over to Blondie? How about catching both Seth Sentry and Diafrix? Or for fans of folk music, perhaps you wanted to catch Husky and Angus Stone? None of these are really an option, that is unless you plan on rocking up in your Delorean.
Of course every festival has clashes, and with such an amazing lineup of local talent it would have been almost impossible for organisers to have avoided them.
