Once touted the saviours of rock n roll, Hot Snakes have reformed and are heading our way to play three shows only, at Sydney’s The Annandale Hotel on Dec 6th, The Corner Hotel in Melbourne on Dec 7th and finishing with a thunderous roar at Meredith Music Festival on Dec 8th.

Founded in 1999 in San Diego, California, by John Reis (Drive like Jehu & Rocket from the Crypt) and Rick Froberg (Drive like Jehu) Hot Snakes certainly made their mark on the punk rock scene winning Best Punk Rock album in 2005 at the San Diego music awards. Due to logistics (band members lived on almost opposite sides of the US) they called it a day soon after their last Australian tour, BUT now have reformed to play a small handful of shows at some of the world’s coolest music festivals heralded by an invitation from our very own Meredith Music Festival.

For those in the know, all members of this much loved and respected band all lead exceptionally busy music lives, so the time to catch them together again is now!

The last time the lads landed on Australian soil was in 2006, at which time they also recorded a live studio album with ABC and triple j aptly named ‘Thunder down under’.

Coming to OZ are John Reis, guitar; Gar Wood, bass; Rick Froberg, vocals and guitar and both drummers Jason Kourkounis and Mario Rubalcaba (we guess they plan to takes turns).

There’s no denying, you will love this band live!
