Here’s how to stream ‘Folklore’ – the new album from Taylor Swift

Last night, Taylor Swift revealed that she was dropping a surprise new album titled Folklore. Here’s how you can stream it when it drops at 2PM AEST.

Taking the world by great surprise, pop icon Taylor Swift revealed that she was dropping a new album come midnight, Eastern Time, for all of us to have something to smile about as 2020 has done nothing but bring us down.

“Surprise,” she wrote to Twitter. “Tonight at midnight I’ll be releasing my 8th studio album, folklore; an entire brand new album of songs I’ve poured all of my whims, dreams, fears, and musings into.”

For us Aussies, we’ll get to listen to the new album at 2PM AEST, instead of waiting for the small hours of a work week to hear the new tunes, and here are all the ways you can get onto the new Taylor Swift album, Folklore.

Stream via Spotify: Easy as, you can stream Folklore by simply heading to Spotify via your phone or your computer, and tune in right as it drops at 2PM AEST.

More of an Apple Music buff: You’ll be able to stream it to by doing a quick search for Taylor Swift once the album drops.

Check it out via YouTube: Heading to Taylor Swift’s YouTube page might also get you a first glimpse of music videos, if she has any more surprises in store!

Or, you could pre-order a physical copy: Are you more of a fan of listening to music in the traditional sense? If so, Folklore comes in a multitude of different forms – cassette, CD, or vinyl, each coming with a downloadable stream of the album.

Most of the things I had planned this summer didn’t end up happening, but there is something I hadn’t planned on that DID happen. And that thing is my 8th studio album, folklore. Surprise 🤗Tonight at midnight I’ll be releasing my entire brand new album of songs I’ve poured all of my whims, dreams, fears, and musings into. I wrote and recorded this music in isolation but got to collaborate with some musical heroes of mine; @aarondessner (who has co-written or produced 11 of the 16 songs), @boniver (who co-wrote and was kind enough to sing on one with me), William Bowery (who co-wrote two with me) and @jackantonoff (who is basically musical family at this point). Engineered by Laura Sisk and Jon Low, mixed by Serban Ghenea & Jon Low. The album photos were shot by the amazing @bethgarrabrant. Before this year I probably would’ve overthought when to release this music at the ‘perfect’ time, but the times we’re living in keep reminding me that nothing is guaranteed. My gut is telling me that if you make something you love, you should just put it out into the world. That’s the side of uncertainty I can get on board with. Love you guys so much ♥️
