Isol-Aid is back for a stunning ninth instalment and boy, they’ve cracked off another ripper lineup.

If you, like me, are one of the many people who are anxious about society restarting because you’ve become so comfortable with living in a state of semi-isolation, take this as an opportunity to spend one more precious week partying on your lonesome.

Instalment nine will kick off this weekend from 4 pm to late on Saturday and 1 pm to 7 pm on Sunday (AEST). If you’re yet to experience Isol-Aid in all its glory, here’s a rundown: artists play 20-minute sets streamed live via their Instagram accounts. At the end of their set, each musician tag-teams the next artist to play, sending fans down a blissful rabbit hole of new music discovery. There’s a real tangible sense of community to the whole shebang, and we honestly hope it goes on forever.

Leading the charge for this weekends instalment of the festival is Courtney Marie Andres, Jeff Tweedy, Jonny Fritz, Joshua Hedley, Leah Flanagan, Nasty Mars, and a bunch more.

Saturday will see the first instalment of Iso-Late — which is essentially all the action of a club night brought to the comfort of to your lounge room. The action kicks off at 10 pm.

Among the names announced to perform are hip-hop star Allday, DJ and producer KLP, and Indigenous DJ Dameeeela, with intermissions provided by The Huxleys & Tanzer.

The events are both completely free, but organisers encourage those who tune in to donate whatever they can to Support Act, Australia’s only not-for-profit organisation, to provide relief for musicians and music industry workers facing physical or mental health issues, or financial hardship. If you have the means, we vehemently encourage you to show your support to an industry that fills us all with so much joy. You can find the full Isol-Aid lineup below.
