And they are…..Tame Impala (no surprises there), Adelaide-local Sia and Cloud Control. Each has been nominated for the highly competitive Album of the Year category.
Perth favourites Tame Impala have been nominated for their debut album Innerspeaker. It’s up against Sia’s third album, We Are Born, which has seen Sia go from strength to strength. New-comers Cloud Control have been nominated for their first LP Bliss Release, which has been described by Beat as “ethereal and elegantly crafted”.
More artists will be announced over the coming months and the results will be released in the first week of December. Previous winners have included Wolfmother (2005), Hilltop Hoods (2006), The Panics (2007), The Presets (2008) and Sarah Blasko (2009).
