After Jack River’s stunning video for ‘Fool’s Gold’ earlier this year, we were expecting something pretty special for the follow-up, and ‘Fault Line’ has more than delivered in both sound and vision.
Its tale of two race car drivers is equal parts gloomy and neon-tinged, its throwback aesthetic mingling with an undercurrent of menage to bring to mind Ryan Gosling in Drive, or the zombified house of Kavinsky – albeit with far more of a shimmering, if melancholic, pop bent.
It’s been a strong year for Jack River, and we’re sure there’s more in store ahead of her national tour in March next year (not least her set at Beyond The Valley over New Year’s). For now, you can pick this one up here, and check out the video below.
