Jesswar is currently on fire, making waves across the nation with a seemingly unstoppable ascent. On top of this, she has exceptional taste in Instagram videos, and has shared with us some of her favourite twerking vids.
By now you would have heard hip hop legend and rising star Jesswar, with irresistible songs like ‘Savage’, which completely mesmerised us from the very moment that they came into existence. If you haven’t, what are you waiting for?
It goes without saying, we love Jesswar, and the independent Brisbane-based rapper loves individuals who are equally as talented.
So, she’s sent us in two of her favourite Instagram discoveries. To be honest, we expected to get a whole range of new rappers, but instead, we got twerking vids. Honestly, it’s not that surprising – twerking is a major part of modern hip hop, and there’s some amazing examples on IG.
The first of them was from Parris Goebel, phenomenal NZ choreographer, dancer, singer, director and actress. Her dance crew The Royal Family has won the World Hip Hop Dance Championship three times, and she’s even choreographed for the likes of Rihanna in her SAVAGE x FENTY promo ads.

Parris Goebel is no joke. She’s danced her way to success and the successes keep on coming. Just recently she completed being choreographer for Rihanna’s SAVAGE x FENTY promo, and she was even named by NZ Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern as NZ’s entertainment and cultural curator for the World Expo 2020 in Dubai.
It’s no wonder that Jesswar is obsessed with her.
“Been a fan for awhile and now she’s of the best choreographers in the world. Would be a dream to work with her in the future,” says Jesswar.

What more can be said about Lizzo’s iconic BET Awards performance that hasn’t already been said?
Flute action while twerking? A complete dream. We just love her so much.
Not to mention Lizzo has even teamed up with ‘Hot Girl Summer’ pioneer Megan Thee Stallion to create an iconic twerking video which became viral on the gram.
“Lizzo’s work ethic inspires me the most! Seeing her blow up recently has been inspiring as she’s been releasing music since 2014. It’s dope to see an artist you’ve been following get the success they deserve,” says Jesswar.
