Showing that Led Zeppelin fans probably have much healthier bank balances than they did in the 1970s, Jimmy Page’s new book has sold out before it’s even released. The hefty tome, entitled ‘Jimmy Page by Jimmy Page’ is over 500 pages long and features over 650 photos of the guitarist throughout his career. It also doesn’t come cheap – at £495 you could buy his collected works on CD for less, but that hasn’t stopped it selling out on pre-sales. The book, which had the photos compiled and text written by Page himself, is bound in leather and comes wrapped in silk.
